Spirituality and Meanings in Contemporary Ukrainian Art
Beauty is not just about appearance. It lives in the depth of feelings, the harmony of thought and soul, the ability to see meaning even where it seems absent. At Hedonic, we believe that true beauty is a combination of culture, emotions, and inner light that a person carries outward. That's why our brand supports Ukrainian artists, creating space for their voice and the profound stories born through creativity.
We are pleased to introduce Dora (Daryna) Lybak—an artist whose works impress with symbolic richness, spiritual depth, and a contemporary perspective on traditional values.

Dora Lybak: From First Strokes to Her Own Language
Dora Lybak was born in 1997 in Rivne, where she currently works. She holds a master’s degree in decorative and applied arts. For some time, she worked as a teacher of art history. However, since 2021, she decided to dedicate her life to finding her own language of expression through art. She constantly expands her artistic language, experimenting with painting and graphics, and participating in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Each of her works is a multi-layered world where symbolism intertwines with color nuances, and earthly forms become conduits to the spiritual dimension of human existence. Her images are not just seen—they are felt: they touch the soul, leaving space for personal meaning for each viewer.
Meaning and Philosophy of Creativity
Dora Lybak’s creativity is an exploration of spirituality and the inner world of a person. She turns to biblical texts and traditional symbols, rethinking them in a contemporary context. For the artist, literalness narrows the depth of experience, so she creates her own system of images in which forms and colors become a channel for reflection and emotions, leading the viewer into a subtle inner dialogue.
The key themes of her works are the nature of grace, love, and inner harmony. Dora is convinced that through recognizable earthly forms, one can reveal the sacred, creating space for personal empathy and reflection. Her painting and graphics create an effect of “indirect expression” that encourages intellectual contemplation rather than offering ready-made answers.
Combining various materials in her work—acrylic, spray, glitter—the artist remains devoted to the technique of oil painting, which adds an effect of lightness and transparency to her canvases.
The Painting “Eve”: An Ephemeral Space of Peace
A special embodiment of her artistic philosophy is the work “Eve,” which addresses existential questions of the fragility of human existence, the illusory nature of stability, and the search for inner support.
In “Eve,” Dora creates an ephemeral space—a place of preservation and peace amid the turbulent rhythm of modernity. This image reminds us that the material does not define the meaning of life. Only by letting the light of being pass through oneself can one find one’s own inner paradise. This approach resonates organically with Hedonic’s philosophy: beauty lives where there is inner light capable of inspiring, uniting, and healing.
Hedonic and the Art of Dora Lybak
The partnership with Dora Lybak became an opportunity to amplify the voice of contemporary Ukrainian art and convey not only aesthetics but also profound meanings. For Hedonic, it is important that art inspires, enriches, forms inner wholeness and cultural depth.
The artist’s creativity reminds us that true beauty is not limited to appearance—it lives in philosophy, spirituality, and the ability to see light even in the darkest times. Through her canvases, we feel that light can be nurtured and carried forward, transforming it into personal strength and harmony.
